FCSLock® is a QuarkXPress® XTension designed specifically for newspapers and other large XPress installations. This XTension will allow an administrator to disable any feature of XPress so that other users are not able to modify certain aspects of XPress documents. FCSLock can disable any menu item of XPress, selected tools from the Tool palette, and the other palettes.

Everytime you startup XPress with FCSLock installed XPress will operate in "Locked" mode. If the operator does not know the password he will not be able to unlock XPress or reconfigure FCSLock. With a supplied additional XTension you can modify XPress documents so that they can't be opened without FCSLock, this avoids smart users from removing FCSLock from the QuarkXPress folder and then opening your documents.

  5. The default password is "1234567890", change this password as soon as you install the program.
